Area 06

Functional Medicine

Some complaints cannot be treated away. Targeted laboratory diagnostics can point to connections the hands cannot find: inflammatory processes, micronutrient deficiencies, a metabolism that has slipped out of rhythm.

Who it is for

With us, targeted laboratory diagnostics are not a last resort when a therapy stalls, but often the second pillar from the start.

For people with persistent tiredness, susceptibility to infection or digestive complaints. For athletes whose recovery no longer works. For anyone who wants to look after their health and understand their metabolism. And as a complement when a musculoskeletal therapy is progressing more slowly than expected.

How it works

From conversation to concrete step

01

Conversation

History, complaints, diet, sleep and load.

02

The question

What are we testing for? Without a question, a lab value is just a number.

03

Diagnostics

Blood draw here in the practice, analysis in the laboratory.

04

Discussion

We interpret the report and translate it into concrete steps.

Questions about this area

Frequently asked

The service pages carry their own questions, each specific to the topic.

Isn't laboratory diagnostics a matter for my GP?

A GP's blood panel answers different questions from a functional analysis. We are not out to replace medical diagnostics, but to add parameters that are rarely tested in daily practice, the micronutrient supply, for instance, or the interplay of inflammation and recovery.

What happens with the result?

The values do not simply arrive in your inbox. We go through the report together, place it in the context of your complaints and derive concrete steps, from diet through targeted supplementation to, where sensible, infusion therapy.

Does this replace a medical assessment?

No. If there are signs of an illness that needs treatment, we refer you to the appropriate specialist. We work alongside medicine, not in its place.
