The house
A villa on the Alster
The house itself already tells you what Functional Med is about. Red brick, a distinctive round arch and a bright reception with tall windows and a calm, clear atmosphere. Alongside it a collection of nostalgic sports equipment that gives the house character and history. Added to that a modern athletic area, our own gym and a performance lab for diagnostics, training and rehabilitation.
We designed this house ourselves, with a great deal of attention to detail, because we are convinced that surroundings make a difference. A calm, personal atmosphere, good energy and rooms you like being in belong to good treatment just as much as professional quality does.

What works on tour works for you too
More than ten years of international work in elite sport go into what we do here. Our therapists come from the ATP Tour, the Davis Cup, FC St. Pauli, the German Rowing Federation and the national hockey squads. Trained among others at the European School of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam, at Trinity College Dublin and at Aspetar in Doha. That does not mean we only treat professionals. It means we know what precise diagnostics and structured progression look like, and that you benefit from it just as much.

Yannick Lambrecht has worked as a physiotherapist on the ATP Tour since 2014. That work has grown into a focus of its own: tennis screening, injury prevention, shoulder and elbow rehabilitation, athletic training and the return to competition. For tournament players and for Saturday mornings at the club alike.

The team
One team, one standard
We started small, with osteopathy and naturopathy. Because we never wanted to look at health in isolation, specialists joined one by one, until it became a house where diagnostics, therapy, training and medicine come together. All built ourselves, without an investor.
