Manual therapy in Hamburg
What this is
Manual therapy examines and treats dysfunction of the joints and the spine. With mobilisation, targeted handling and, where indicated, brief impulse techniques. The familiar click is a side effect, not the goal.

Questions about this service
Frequently asked
Is spinal manipulation dangerous?
Applied properly after a prior examination, it is considered a safe procedure. What matters is that contraindications are checked beforehand. That is exactly why, with us, the examination always comes before the technique, and we use impulse techniques only when they are indicated.
Does it have to click to work?
No. The sound comes from a pressure change inside the joint and says nothing about the result. Many effective techniques work entirely without an impulse.
Why does my restriction keep coming back?
Because a restriction is usually a symptom. When one area moves too little, its neighbour works too much and eventually makes itself known. That is why every treatment includes building up what addresses the cause.

What patients often look for here as well
Osteopathy
Osteopathy treats the body as one connected system. Instead of treating only the painful spot, it looks for restrictions in movement that cause complaints elsewhere. Examination and treatment are done exclusively with the hands.
→ServiceDry needling and IMES
Dry needling is a targeted treatment of tense muscle using very fine needles. Unlike acupuncture, it does not work along meridians but directly at the myofascial trigger point, the spot in the muscle that produces the pain. The needle releases the tension without any medication being used. That is exactly what "dry" means.
→ClinicBack clinic in Hamburg
Back pain needs clarity first. We examine precisely, put joints, muscles, discs, movement and load into context, and then take you through therapy with a clear plan. For complex cases we draw on a strong network of doctors in Hamburg, across Germany and internationally.
→ClinicShoulder clinic in Hamburg
The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body and is guided almost entirely by muscle. That makes it capable and sensitive at the same time. Anyone who works overhead or plays overhead sport notices first.
