Private physiotherapy in Hamburg
What this is
Physiotherapy treats complaints of the musculoskeletal system, with the hands, with targeted techniques and with active exercise. With us, private means one thing above all: you have a therapist to yourself, with enough time for examination, treatment and explanation. No three patients in parallel, no conveyor belt.

What it helps with
How it works
At the first appointment we take time for your history and an examination before anything is treated. Treatment follows in the same session, and you leave with an exercise programme that fits your daily life. At follow-up appointments we check what has changed and adjust.

A locked back, a stiff neck, a twisted ankle or a fresh sports injury: register or send us an enquiry. We also treat outside regular hours, and urgent enquiries are handled at the weekend too.
Questions about this service
Frequently asked
What exactly does private physiotherapy mean?
We invoice at private rates rather than through the statutory prescription system. That allows us longer appointments and a free choice of methods. Patients with statutory insurance are welcome and pay for treatment themselves.
How long is an appointment?
A treatment session usually lasts 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the type of therapy.
Will I get exercises to do at home?
Yes, always. Treatment lasts noticeably longer when something happens between appointments. We give you a few well-chosen exercises, better three you actually do than twelve that end up in a folder.
How do you know whether physiotherapy is the right thing for me?
We settle that before we treat. In our intake questionnaire and in the examination we ask specifically for signs that something behind the complaint needs medical assessment. If we find anything of the kind, we tell you and refer you on, even if that means we do not treat you that day.

What patients often look for here as well
Manual therapy and manual medicine
Manual therapy examines and treats dysfunction of the joints and the spine. With mobilisation, targeted handling and, where indicated, brief impulse techniques. The familiar click is a side effect, not the goal.
→ServiceFascia and trigger point therapy
Fascia forms a connected network throughout the body. Changes in tissue tension and myofascial trigger points can restrict movement and cause pain. Depending on the findings, we use precise manual techniques or dry needling to regulate that tension and restore function.
→ServiceMedical training
Training based on findings. You do not train to a standard plan but to what the examination showed, and always supervised by someone who knows why this exercise is the right one right now.
→ClinicBack clinic in Hamburg
Back pain needs clarity first. We examine precisely, put joints, muscles, discs, movement and load into context, and then take you through therapy with a clear plan. For complex cases we draw on a strong network of doctors in Hamburg, across Germany and internationally.
