Area 02
Rehabilitation
Back to full load-bearing capacity, not just to being free of pain. From the first day after surgery through to the return to sport.
Who it is for
After cruciate ligament or meniscus surgery. After procedures on the shoulder or ankle. After muscle and tendon injuries. And for everyone whose prescribed rehab has ended but who still lacks the feeling of full load capacity.
We work with measurable criteria rather than the calendar. Not "after twelve weeks you're allowed again", but "when these values are right, the next step is due".
The four phases
From day one back to the game
Early phase
Bring pain and swelling down, protect range of motion, get the muscles firing again.
Building
Strength, coordination, stability. This is where the real work happens.
Loading
Return to running, jump and landing training, changes of direction. The body learns to withstand forces again.
Return
Sport-specific, with testing. Only when both sides compare do you go back to the game.

What often plays into this
Therapy
Everything we do with our hands and with targeted techniques, from classical physiotherapy through to dry needling.
→AreaTraining & Performance
Where therapy ends, training begins. Medical training, athletic work, mobility and breathing, built up in a structured way rather than improvised.
→AreaDiagnostics
We look closely before we treat. A full history, a clinical examination, functional testing, and measurement where measurement helps.
→ClinicKnee clinic in Hamburg
The knee is a sensitive joint that is rarely the sole culprit. Very often the cause lies in the hip, in the foot, or in muscle control that never fully returned after an old injury. So we do not examine only the knee.

Frequently asked
The service pages carry their own questions, each specific to the topic.
When can I start rehab with you after an operation?
Usually as early as your surgeon's aftercare protocol allows, often within the first few days. Bring the operation report and the aftercare protocol, and we work to them.
What exactly is Return to Sport?
The stretch between "it doesn't hurt any more" and "it holds up in competition". It includes strength comparisons between both sides, jump and landing tests, changes of direction under fatigue and sport-specific loads. Only when the results are right do we recommend the return.
Will my health insurer cover rehabilitation with you?
We invoice privately. Private insurers and Beihilfe, the German civil-servant health subsidy scheme, reimburse to differing degrees depending on your tariff. With statutory insurance you pay yourself, many people do so deliberately because the appointments are longer and the rebuild is continued to full load capacity.
Do you work with my surgeon?
Gladly. We work in partnership with specialist doctors in Hamburg and align the rebuild with the aftercare protocol. If you like, we consult with them.
