A focus since 2014
Hamburg's tennis practice
Yannick Lambrecht has worked as a physiotherapist on the ATP Tour since 2014. That work has grown into a focus of its own: tennis screening, injury prevention, shoulder and elbow rehabilitation, athletic training and the return to competition. For tournament players and for Saturday mornings at the club alike.
Why us
Yannick Lambrecht has worked as a physiotherapist on the ATP Tour since 2014 and is one of the small circle of therapists worldwide who travel regularly with the best players in the game. He has also worked as a physiotherapist for the Swiss national team in the Davis Cup.
Leon Knoche has worked at many national and international tournaments, among them the ATP 500 in Hamburg. He plays and coaches himself and knows what the sport asks of you from his own experience.
What came out of all that hangs on our wall: a collection of old wooden rackets that reminds us every day where this practice comes from.
Tennis screening
We see where the next overload is building
An orthopaedic functional analysis of your body, cut to the demands of tennis: stability, mobility and flexibility along the chain of movement that carries the serve. We see where rotation is missing and which area is compensating for it – and with that, where the next overload will appear.
A screening makes sense before the season, after a longer break, and whenever the same complaint keeps coming back.

Athletics
Back to competition
Tennis athletics
Explosiveness, changes of direction, trunk stability and rotational strength – trained with the movement in mind, not the machine.
Load management
How much training can your body take between two tournaments? We plan it with you rather than hope for the best.
Return to competition
After an injury the point is not to hit without pain again, but to last three sets. So we test before we clear you.
Worldwide support
We travel with you, too
As experienced sports physiotherapists we look after professional athletes internationally as well: from preventive analysis through therapeutic care to coordinating everything a sports-medicine schedule needs.
Frequently asked
Do I have to be a tournament player to come to you?
No, quite the opposite. Most of our tennis patients play recreationally or in a club team. The complaints are the same, only the load is different – and playing irregularly is what tends to cause overload.
What exactly is a tennis elbow?
An irritation of the tendon attachments on the outside of the elbow, usually from repeated strain on the forearm muscles. The name is misleading: most of the people affected never play tennis. In tennis players the cause often sits not in the arm but in the stroke, the grip or missing rotation from the trunk.
When is the best time for a screening?
Before the season starts, after a longer break, or when the same complaint keeps returning. As a rule: better at the first signs than after the third time out.
Do you treat other sports as well?
Yes. Our team looks after football, rowing, hockey, athletics and triathlon among others. Tennis is our oldest and most developed focus, but by no means the only one.
