Sports physiotherapy in Hamburg

What this is

Sports physiotherapy treats people who want to get back on the court or the pitch, not just through daily life without pain. The difference lies in what the result has to deliver: resilience under fatigue, at speed and through changes of direction. That is exactly what we work on.

Questions about this service

Frequently asked

Do I have to be a competitive athlete?

No. Most of our sports patients train recreationally or in a club. What counts is your goal: if you want to get back to your sport, sports physiotherapy is the right route.

Do you work with footballers?

Yes. Nisse Thüne works with the U14 at FC St. Pauli and regularly gains insight into the professional set-up, Leon Knoche holds the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, and Luka Wertz gained experience in Munich working alongside Dr Müller-Wohlfahrt with athletes from football, athletics, the NHL and the NBA.

When can I play again after an injury?

When the tests allow it, not when the calendar says so. We compare strength on both sides, check jumping and landing behaviour and changes of direction under fatigue. Only then do we give a recommendation.
