Chiropractic in Hamburg
What this is
Chiropractic treats dysfunction of the spine and joints with short, precise impulses. What matters is not the click but the careful examination before it, and the rebuilding after.
What it helps with
How it works
Before we apply an impulse, we examine thoroughly: mobility, neurological tests and whether anything speaks against treatment.
Only when the findings are clear and the technique fits do we treat, using full-spine chiropractic and precise fine adjustment, or gentler mobilisation techniques depending on the region.
Afterwards we show you how to hold the new mobility with targeted exercises.
Releasing is the start
A restriction is usually a symptom.
When one area moves too little, its neighbour works too much and eventually makes itself known. So with us, treatment does not end with the impulse.
We look for what keeps causing the restriction and build up exactly there. The aim is that you do not need to keep coming back to be adjusted.

Frequently asked
How is this different from manual therapy?
Both treat dysfunction of the joints and spine. Manual therapy works mostly with mobilisation: slow, targeted movements. Chiropractic adds short, fast impulses. With us the two flow into one another, and the findings decide which technique fits.
Is chiropractic treatment safe?
After a careful examination and with the right indication, it is considered a safe procedure. What matters is that contraindications are ruled out first. At the cervical spine we weigh things up especially carefully and often work with gentler techniques there.
How often will I need to come back?
For an acute restriction one treatment is often enough. If it keeps coming back, we look for the cause and build up from there. Regular adjustments without rebuilding are not a solution in our view.
Are there reasons not to do it?
Yes, for example osteoporosis, fresh injuries or fractures, inflammatory conditions in an acute flare, and blood-thinning medication. With numbness, signs of paralysis or severe radiating pain, we have it assessed medically before we treat. We ask about these before the first treatment.

What patients often look for here as well
Manual therapy
Manual therapy examines and treats dysfunction of the joints and the spine. With mobilisation, targeted handling and, where indicated, brief impulse techniques. The familiar click is a side effect, not the goal.
→ServiceOsteopathy
Osteopathy treats the body as one connected system. Instead of treating only the painful spot, it looks for restrictions in movement that cause complaints elsewhere. Examination and treatment are done exclusively with the hands.
→ClinicBack clinic
Back pain needs clarity first. We examine precisely, put joints, muscles, discs, movement and load into context, and then take you through therapy with a clear plan. For complex cases we draw on a strong network of doctors in Hamburg, across Germany and internationally.
→ClinicAcute clinic
When something suddenly gives out, an appointment in three weeks is no help. Register or send us an enquiry and we will try to fit you in the same day, including outside regular hours and at the weekend.
