Back clinic in Hamburg
Back pain needs clarity first. We examine precisely, put joints, muscles, discs, movement and load into context, and then take you through therapy with a clear plan. For complex cases we draw on a strong network of doctors in Hamburg, across Germany and internationally.
How it works
Listen. Examine. Treat. Strengthen.
History
We go through when it started, how it has developed, what triggers it, your load, previous treatment and everything else relevant to the current picture.
Examination
Then come clinical and neurological tests, mobility, stability and movement analysis. We include any MRI or X-ray findings you bring.
Treatment
Based on the findings, we choose the methods that fit, for example chiropractic techniques, osteopathic techniques or dry needling.
Rebuilding
After that it is about lasting load capacity. We train the areas that matter for a stable return to daily life, training and sport.
Second opinion
If surgery has been recommended, if complaints persist despite treatment, or if you are unsure about the assessment so far, we take another close look together. We interpret findings and imaging, check conservative options and give you a clear view of the sensible next steps. Where needed, we work closely with specialist doctors in Hamburg.
Acute clinic
Woke up with a locked back this morning? Write to us.
A locked back, a stiff neck, a twisted ankle or a fresh sports injury: register or send us an enquiry. We also treat outside regular hours, and urgent enquiries are handled at the weekend too.
Questions about this clinic
Frequently asked
My back locked up this morning. Can I still get an appointment today?
For acute complaints we do our best to see you the same day, including outside regular hours and at the weekend. The best way is to send us an enquiry straight away.
Do I need an MRI before I come?
In the vast majority of cases, no. The clinical examination gives more information than many expect, and an image alone rarely explains the pain. If we think imaging is needed, we tell you and refer you on.
Does dry needling help with back pain?
For muscular complaints and myofascial trigger points, often very well, especially combined with manual therapy and subsequent training. Whether it makes sense in your case is something we decide after the examination.
How long until it gets better?
With acute back pain, a clear change is often possible early on. With longer-standing or recurring problems, what counts most is consistent guidance through therapy, load progression and your own exercises. After the examination we give you a realistic estimate of the course that fits your findings, and of how we will structure the next steps.

What usually goes with it
Manual therapy
Manual therapy examines and treats dysfunction of the joints and the spine. With mobilisation, targeted handling and, where indicated, brief impulse techniques. The familiar click is a side effect, not the goal.
→ServiceDry needling
Dry needling is a targeted treatment of tense muscle using very fine needles. Unlike acupuncture, it does not work along meridians but directly at the myofascial trigger point, the spot in the muscle that produces the pain. The needle releases the tension without any medication being used. That is exactly what "dry" means.
→ServiceOsteopathy
Osteopathy treats the body as one connected system. Instead of treating only the painful spot, it looks for restrictions in movement that cause complaints elsewhere. Examination and treatment are done exclusively with the hands.
→ServiceMedical training
Training based on findings. You do not train to a standard plan but to what the examination showed, and always supervised by someone who knows why this exercise is the right one right now.
→ClinicAcute clinic
When something suddenly gives out, an appointment in three weeks is no help. Register or send us an enquiry and we will try to fit you in the same day, including outside regular hours and at the weekend.
