As experienced sports physiotherapists, we help professional athletes keep their performance and their health across a whole season.

On tour

Since 2014 Yannick Lambrecht has worked as a physiotherapist on the ATP Tour, and he belongs to the small circle of therapists who travel regularly with the best players in the world.

He has also worked as physiotherapist for the Swiss Davis Cup team.

We bring that experience with us when we accompany you to tournaments, training camps and competitions, planned around your calendar and your team.

Between tournaments, in Hamburg

Some injuries cannot be sorted out on the road.

Then professionals come to us in Hamburg between two tournaments to treat, rebuild and be ready for the next event.

Our Performance Lab is a separate, fully equipped space for rehabilitation, training and diagnostics, away from the everyday running of the practice, with full focus and full privacy.

Not only tennis

Tennis is our oldest focus, but not our only one.

Our team accompanies athletes of the German Rowing Federation at training camps and international competitions, works with German national hockey teams and travels with professional Ironman triathletes to races.

In professional sport our experience runs from FC St. Pauli to athletes from football, the NHL and the NBA.

Frequently asked

Do you only work with ATP players?

No. We work with professional athletes from tennis and other sports, on tour as well as at national and international competitions. What counts is what your competition calendar needs.

How discreet is the support?

Completely. Treatment, findings and plans stay between you, us and the people you choose to involve. In Hamburg we work with professionals in the Performance Lab, away from the regular running of the practice.

Do you work with my existing team?

Yes, and it matters to us. We coordinate with your coaches, doctors and strength and conditioning staff so that everyone works to the same plan. Where needed, we organise sports-medicine appointments and diagnostics.

How does a request work?

Write to info@functional-med.de with the key details: your sport, the tournaments or period, any current complaints and the kind of support you need. We get back to you personally, clarify availability and scope, and put together a suitable proposal.

Yannick Lambrecht has worked as a physiotherapist on the ATP Tour since 2014.
