Metabolic consultation in Hamburg
Your metabolism has a say in how much energy you have, how well you recover and how much load you can take. In a metabolic consultation we combine your history with targeted laboratory diagnostics and turn the results into a clear plan you can follow.
Reasons people come to us
How it works
It starts with a detailed conversation about your complaints, diet, sleep, load and goals.
That gives us the question the laboratory needs to answer, because without a question a lab value is just a number. The blood draw takes place here in the practice, supplemented by saliva tests where the question calls for it.
Afterwards we go through the report together and work out concrete steps.
What we look at
Depending on the question, we look at blood sugar and insulin regulation, blood lipids, inflammation markers, thyroid and adrenal function, liver and kidney values and your micronutrient supply.
The focus is not on a single value but on how they interact, and on what that means for your energy, your recovery and your daily life.
From report to plan
The values do not simply arrive in your inbox.
The report becomes a plan that fits your life: diet, sleep, stress and movement first, then targeted supplementation and, where it makes sense, infusion therapy.
After a few weeks we re-check selected values and adjust the plan.

Questions about this clinic
Frequently asked
How is this different from hormone and metabolic diagnostics?
The diagnostics are the measurement. The metabolic consultation is the whole path around it: the conversation before, choosing the right values, going through the report, and the plan afterwards, including follow-up checks.
Will a metabolic consultation help me lose weight?
It can help you understand why it has been difficult so far, and build a plan that fits your metabolism. We do not promise a particular result. Weight depends on many factors, and lasting change takes time.
Does this replace medical treatment?
No. Conditions such as diabetes or a thyroid disorder stay in a doctor's hands. If we find signs of an illness that needs treatment, we tell you clearly and refer you to the right specialist. We work alongside medicine, not in its place.
Do I need to fast before the blood draw?
For most metabolic values, yes. Please eat nothing in the eight hours before the draw. Water and unsweetened tea are fine; coffee and juice are not. Do tell us beforehand if you take any medication or supplements. We go through this with you when the appointment is booked.
Is the consultation covered by health insurance?
No, we invoice these services privately. The cost depends on the scope of the laboratory diagnostics and is discussed with you beforehand.

What usually goes with it
Hormone and metabolic diagnostics
Hormones govern energy, sleep, the stress response and recovery. We test selected parameters in blood and saliva.
→ServiceBlood diagnostics and health check
A blood panel shows connections you cannot see from the outside: where inflammation markers stand, how your metabolism is working, whether important nutrients are missing. We do not turn to laboratory analysis only when a therapy stalls, often we use it from the start, as a second pillar alongside treatment.
→ServiceMicronutrients and orthomolecular medicine
Micronutrients are vitamins, minerals, trace elements and amino acids, the building blocks your metabolism works with. Orthomolecular medicine is about balancing those building blocks in a targeted way. The most important part is not the preparation but the measurement that comes before it.
→ServiceInfusion medicine
In infusion therapy, nutrients are given directly into the bloodstream. That makes sense when absorption through the gut is limited or when a targeted, short-term replenishment is the aim. With us it always begins with a conversation and, where the question calls for it, a laboratory test, we do not compose an infusion without knowing why.
